Senior Sunrise 2024

At 5:45AM on September 3rd, the class of 2025 gathered at Veterans Field for the annual senior sunrise event.

Jaylene Hernandez ’25 said that the main reason she wanted to go was “to reconnect with my peers before the school year started.” Although Jaylene said “it was really rushed, everybody wanted to go to breakfast,” she had a generally nice time and went to IHOP with her friends after the event.

Senior Isabella Eldik says that she wanted to go to the first senior event. “The sunrise is always a pretty short event,” she explained, “but it was fun. I went out to eat afterwards.”

Jun-ha Geleyder ’25 also went to IHOP with his friends afterwards; they made a table of 19 in total.

Although most seniors were more interested in getting breakfast after the event, this event marks the beginning of the end of their high school careers.
